Fifteen years ago, on April 9, 2009, we officially became HealthSource Solutions. When Minnesota-based Park Nicollet Health Services divested its wellness division, then known as Park Nicollet HealthSource, Mary Kruse, director of that division, knew she couldn’t let the great work they were doing end. So she purchased the company and brought along all of HealthSource’s staff and 99 percent of its clients. Those clients took this chance because the same great staff they were working with followed to the newly named HealthSource Solutions.
Although Mary had a strong client base to work with, transitioning to a small business owner wasn’t always easy. For the first five years, the learning curve was steep, but Mary’s passion for worksite wellness, coupled with her amazing team, kept the vision alive. The staff believed in the mission and supported her every step of the way.
HealthSource Solutions' target market has always been a mix of small to mid-sized employers who need expertise and support in providing best practice wellness offerings to their employees. We also have a strong client base in Fortune 500 companies where we provide onsite wellness staff.
Wellness has certainly ridden the waves of change over fifteen years, but the most dramatic change in wellness is the transition from it being a 'nicety' to a necessity.

As Mary Kruse has grown into a strong business leader, she wants to ensure that her employees become strong leaders, too. “We work hard to practice what we teach, and to create a culture where all our staff feel empowered, valued, and a key contributor in what makes HealthSource Solutions a great place to work!” What is most important — and the core of who we are as a company — is the recognition of the amazing staff that have gotten us here. It has been a wonderful journey building a company with grit, gumption, perseverance, and fun!
