On-call Tobacco Treatment Specialist

HealthSource Solutions is seeking a certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (TTS) for an on-call position. In partnership with ClearWay Minnesota, HealthSource offers QUITPLAN at Work, a tobacco cessation program hosted at worksites across the state. Our tobacco cessation counselors work on-call based on demand. We are currently seeking an additional staff member for the Twin Cities metro area. Counselors are responsible for leading a small (8-15) group of employees in weekly tobacco cessation classes for 5 consecutive weeks, with the goal of helping employees quit tobacco. Travel within the metro region of Minnesota is required.

Qualifications

  • Current TTS certification through Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota
  • Master’s degree in counseling or related field or Bachelor’s degree in health or related field
  • 1+ years of experience working with tobacco cessation and/or group counseling

Candidate must have a strong technical knowledge in the area of tobacco cessation and a good understanding of general health topics. Most classes take place during the work day around lunch time, so flexibility with schedule is required.

Program Coordinator

HealthSource Solutions is looking for a health promotion professional with 3-5 years experience to work as a Program Coordinator at 3M. The program coordinator will be responsible for the coordination of corporate worksite health promotion and work/life balance programs. Responsibilities include development, implementation, management and evaluation of programs.

Key Responsibilities: Serve as an internal resource for 3M health promotion initiatives; support marketing/communication development; monitor effectiveness of programs and events both locally and nationally; implement and evaluate wellness programs; supervise student intern. The ability to work independently and in teams, manage multiple projects and be detail oriented is vital to this position. Strong writing, organization and communication skills and the ability to learn new computer programs and databases is expected. This position will report to 3M at the St. Paul headquarters location.

Qualifications: Minimum of a four-year degree in health promotion, community health, exercise science or health related field. Three to five years experience in worksite health promotion. Candidate must have experience in program implementation and program evaluation.
